I FIRST TIME IN UNITED STATE AND SCHOOL

1. My name is Cung Uk Sang. Iam 19 year old. I am burmese and i came to America on march 19,2008. I have been living with a foster parent since I arrived in America.
   



2. My first year was spent at Jefferson High School. The following year I transferred to Edison Technical High School. Each summer I would attend summer school to improve.



3. My English since it is my second language. When Iarrived in the United State the only words I could say were , "How are you"? and "Good morning".

My First day in School was very difficult. It was frustrating because I could not speak english, because Ihad to change classrooms and because I could not use the bathroom.

Let me explain why I could not go to the bathroom. The bethroom at Jefferson High School are kope locked. When we need to use the bethroom we have to ask the security officer to open the door for us. I could not ask because i could not peak english therfor I did not use the bethroom all day.

When I transferred to Edison in my second year I work very hard. As a resuld of my hard work and the assistance of my teacher, I was able to graduate High School in three year. On june ,23,2011 I received the Regents diploma.

My one dream is to go to college As a refugee , my life has been very hard and I do not have the finances to pay my way through college. I am to change my life so that my dream will come through by giving me a scholarship to go to college.
